MICHELLE

Michelle Villemaire is an interior designer and TV host. The Eloise of Asian resorts, Michelle honed her skills at a young age making home in hotels all over the world.  

 

She's a designer on Tia Mowry’s Weekend Refresh on Tastemade, a Hallmark Channel Home & Family DIY Star finalist, and a television guest expert on all things DIY. Michelle’s work has been featured on The TODAY Show, Sweet June, and Architectural Digest. Michelle has hosted over twenty-five indoor and outdoor design videos for top brands such as Kilz and Starbucks and is the talent behind two seasons of Quality in Style with The Home Depot.

 

An art activist at heart, Michelle’s photo project “Correcting Yellowface” received worldwide acclaim for confronting the issue of whitewashing Asians in American media. Her Yarnbomb for National Women’s History month has run for 10 years- a community project shining light on the stories of notable American women. Her ambassadorship and committee work for The National Women’s History Museum led to the US House of Representatives’s 2020 bill establishing the museum within the Smithsonian Institute.

 

Multi-racial and multi-cultural, Michelle attended international school in Saudi Arabia and has traveled to over 30 countries. She agrees with Mark Twain about travel being “fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” Michelle speaks three languages, is a mother to two girls, wife to one man, and a sister to all.
